The Herald reported on the front page that the West Rand Regional Services Council (WR-RSC) elected their executive committee and vice-chairman in council. For the first time since its inception a black person was elected as vice-chairman.
The vice-chairman of the WR RSC is Alfred Thekwane of Mohlakeng.
