Woman stabs man to death

The woman has since been arrested and will appear in court on a murder charge.

A 46-year-old woman is facing charges of murder, after allegedly stabbing a 24-year-old man to death in the early hours of Sunday, 25 August, in the Waterworks informal settlement in Bekkersdal.

According to the police, the two were in an argument in a local tavern when the fight broke out.

“The suspect allegedly stabbed the victim once in his chest. An ambulance was summoned but the victim succumbed to the injury before he was taken to hospital. The motive is still to be investigated,” Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, spokesperson for the Bekkersdal Police, said.
