‘Psychiatric drugging of children’ seminar at Tambotie today!

Is ADHD real? The truth to be revealed at Tambotie Mall in Randfontein today.

All parents are invited to a seminar about ADHD and the ‘psychiatric drugging of children’ to be held outside Tambotie Mall on Saturday, 31 August.

The event, hosted by Baagi Ba South Africa, an NPO organisation advocating for victims tricked and exploited into drug trafficking and human rights, starts at 11am.

According to Glory Matipile, founder and CEO of Baagi Ba SA, parents have the right to know about safe alternatives for their children and to ask doctors about non-drug treatments.

South Africa reportedly has one of the highest rates in the world of prescribed stimulants for children labelled with so-called Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) – a rate even higher than the US.

“The United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child has also warned governments about the diagnosis of ADHD. South African parents have the right to know about safe alternatives for their children and to ask doctors about non-drug treatments.”

Glory added, “Both the Citizens Commission of Human Rights South Africa (CCHR SA) and Baagi Ba SA are calling out to all parents who have been told that their children should take Ritalin, asking questions such as ‘Is ADHD/ hyperactivity an invented ‘illness’ without any scientific proof behind it?’; ‘Did you know that the side effects of these drugs can be violence, homicide or suicide?’, and ‘What alternative therapies are available?’ Come and join us on 31 August to find out”.
