Conference about Fight Against Women and Child Abuse and Femicide to be held in Toekomsrus on 5 October.

A conference themed Fight Against Women and Child Abuse and Femicide will be held at the Emmanuel New Life Centre in Toekomsrus on Saturday, 5 October.

According to the World Health Organization, femicide is generally understood to involve intentional murder of women because they are women, but broader definitions include any killing of women or girls.

Various organisations such as churches, soccer teams, burial clubs, women’s groups and associations, schools, businesses, taxi associations and CPFs will be represented.

Speakers at the conference will be Nodean Hammond (Toekomsrus Men’s Forum), Bertram Moses (Rooskrans Family representative), Grant Fritz (Fritz Family representative), Mandla Hamnca (Proud Fathers Mohlakeng), Ms Angie Makwetla (author of Femicide and Human Rights Commissioner) and Enrique Bhana (WAWA)
