Violence against women has to stop – WAWA

Women Against Women and Child Abuse (WAWA) in Toekomsrus took a firm stand against the recent spate of violence against women by wearing black on Friday, 6 September.

Enrique Bhana of WAWA said, “The move was done in solidarity with other organisations to mobilise the community to come together, to jointly say enough is enough.

“We went out in the streets and had a silent march to simply say that this scourge can no longer continue and has to stop now.”
