Fire breaks out at incomplete clinic

A new clinic under construction on Ralerata Street in Mohlakeng caught fire on Monday 16 September. The cause of the fire is yet to be established.

A new clinic under construction on Ralerata Street in Mohlakeng caught fire on Monday 16 September. The cause of the fire is yet to be established.

According to Bennie Mohlabeng, Regional Commander of the Randfontein Fire and Rescue Services, it took them nearly two hours to put out the flames.

“They have not even given the clinic a name yet because they were still building it. It is not known yet how the fire started, but our fire investigation team was on site to determine the cause. Once the investigation is completed, we will give more details,” Mohlabeng said.
