#WisdomWednesday: NPO to raise awareness against women and child abuse

For this week’s #WisdomWednesday, the Herald spoke to Louis van der Westhuizen, founder of the NPO known as Dynamic Transformation and Health. He spoke to us about The Fancy Walk Competition to be held at Key West on 12 October.

He said this event is intended to raise funds for women and children who are affected by abuse, but he also wants men to support it.

Research by the Institute of Security Studies (ISS) estimates that between 29 and 51 per cent of South African women have experienced some form of intimate partner violence in their lifetime.
