Get to know a ‘Teiner’ #135 — Jessica Draper

The 135th person in the Herald’s Get to know a Randfonteiner project introduces herself.

Meet our ‘Teiner’ of the week, 34-year-old Jessica Draper, a new member of the community who said she already feels at home.

Born and raised in Vanderbijlpark, Jessica said she has only been in town for two months. She said for 13 years, she has been travelling to explore various parts of South Africa and on finally arriving in Randfontein, she decided to make a permanent stop, after discovering a special connection with the locals.

“I officially moved here from Brits (North West) on 1 September, it has only been two months, but I do not see myself going anywhere any time soon,” Jessica said

Describing herself as someone who is full of life, Jessica said she looks forward to what Randfontein has to offer.

Jessica said among other things that made her want to live in Randfontein is the openness of the Randfontein people.

“They are understanding and I find them to be compassionate, they are their own kind of people who warm up to everyone,” Jessica added.
