The day was held in memory of the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice on 11 November, 1918 at 11am.

During the proceedings, there was a Moment of Silence, as well as laying of wreaths, and M.O.T.H. members visiting the vacant chair to commemorate those lost in war.

The vacant chair that each MOTH member visits to pay their respects.

“The vacant chair symbolises the comrade-in-arms who is no longer with us. It is a M.O.T.H. ritual to salute the chair and say a short prayer of thanksgiving to those who have given their lives for the cause of freedom, and for those comrades-in-arms no longer among us,” said Ray Rhodes, PayBill CAPPRO, Shellhole and Parade Committee chairman.
