An Afri Village soccer club, based in Elandsvlei, is using the sport to make a positive difference in the lives of young people while developing local talent.

The Randfontein-based club currently competes in the Randfontein Football Association leagues, including the U11 and U13 divisions. Chairperson Jacob Sekokotla said the club’s mission is to invest in local youth through sport and education while creating opportunities for talented youngsters.

The club hopes to take its junior development programme to the next level by entering higher-tier youth academy competitions during the 2026/ 27 season.

“We are identifying raw talent in Randfontein and pairing players with competitive platforms,” Sekokotla said.

He added that the transition into academy leagues will require financial support for player registrations, travel, kits and training equipment.

With greater support, Affrivilla Pride hopes to give young players more exposure and competitive experience while contributing to a stronger and more prosperous community.
