According to the Graham Cusack, president of the Soldiers For Jesus Foundation in the West Rand, the project comes after three months of collecting toys in an initiative to give children who are underprivileged, orphaned, abused and disabled a better Christmas.

“The purpose is to get as many toys as we can and then donate them to as many charities as possible. Our goal is to collect collect 6 200 toys for these charities,” Graham said.

Graham went on to say this year the project enjoyed fantastic support from Carefored, Thom Kight Funeral Home, Naughty By Nature and Wicked Wheels.

“We do not have storage facilities, so every year we pack and distribute for charities. They then come and collect at the end of the day,” Graham added.

“The toys were distributed to different homes to ensure that these children will receive a gift for Christmas. Our annual challenge is to always provide gifts for children older than 10 years and early teens. We could really do with assistance from local business and/ or in your personal capacity,” Graham added.
