Your Little Mr and Miss Fairytale are …
2019 Little Mr and Miss Fairytale crowned at fundraiser in Hillside.
Khensani Zungu, 7, from Westonaria was crowned Little Miss Fairytale 2019 at a fundraiser held in aid of Motswalle Day Care Centre in Hillside on Saturday, 30 November. The competition had two categories – Juniors and Seniors.
Wilma Coetzee, deputy principal of the centre said the competition was aimed at building confidence among youngsters whom she referred to as “little princes and princesses”.

“Many kids show a lack of confidence so we took the opportunity to give them a chance to shine in a pageant. At the same time, it was for a good cause – to raise funds for the centre,” Wilma said. She added that the event was aimed at benefiting the underprivileged children who normally are deprived of a Christmas experience. She said the funds raised at the event will be used to host a Christmas lunch and hand over gifts to them on Saturday, 7 December.
Khensani’s proud mother, Hlengiwe, said this was just the beginning of her daughter’s journey and she will continue to help her grow on the beauty stage.

“Dancing in front of the mirror during the last few months has shown her great interest in pageantry and as her mother, I have to support her. It was a great platform for my daughter to gain some experience and showcase her modelling talent. I think in this industry, she has a great future ahead of her,” Khensani said.
“I want her to be a true inspiration to many of her peers, to show them that for as long as they believe in themselves, they can achieve anything,” the proud mother added.

Also in attendance on the day was Anica van der Westhuizen, Miss Randfontein 2019 (14 to 17 years) as well as Leonie Pretorius, reigning Mrs Randfontein.
