Police reach out to the elderly

Randfontein Police’s Social Crime Prevention Unit and the Phenomenal Women’s Organisation joined hands this past festive season to donate food parcels to the Wheatlands Old Age Home.

Constable Portia Mabala of the Randfontein Police’s Social Crime Prevention Unit and coordinator of the project, said the initiative was themed ‘Sharing is Caring’.

“It was aimed at showing love and care to the elderly community,” Portia said.
