Massive police operation under way

A massive police operation is currently under way between Khutsong and Carletonville.

This Operation Oka Molae (law-enforcement operation) led by Major General Fred Kekana, the West Rand District Police Commissioner, began early this morning (Thursday, 30 January) and is expected to continue until at least 2pm.

According to Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, Bekkersdal Police spokesperson, “So far we have made a few arrests. The aim is to ensure citizens abide by the law.”
