Vehicle rollover leaves one dead
'The man in the front of the vehicle had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life.'
A man was killed and another injured when their vehicle rolled multiple times on the N12 in Fochville on Sunday, 2 February.
Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, said paramedics found the light motor vehicle upright on the side of the road.
“The body of a man, believed to be in his 30s, was found lying in the front of the vehicle while another man, also in his 30s, was found walking around on the scene.
Medics assessed the victims and found that the man in the vehicle had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead.
“The other man was assessed and found to have sustained only minor injuries. He was treated and thereafter transported to The Fountain Hospital for further care.”
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
