Caltex accepts #theproudchallenge

André Keyser, owner of the Caltex filling station in Greenhills is the latest business owner to accept #theproudchallenge.
According to André, it is a good idea for businesses to stand together to do their part.
“We have been keeping clean around the business for the past 15 years, and it is nice that so many others are doing their part,” he said.
He agreed with other business owners that the reason for this challenge is to show they are proud of their town.
“I encourage other businesses to follow. We as Caltex have accepted the challenge to keep the area around our business neat and clean by planting trees and flowers, as well as cutting the grass.
“This area is also supposed to be cleaned by our municipality but we have taken it upon ourselves because if we sit around and wait for it to be done, we are going to wait a very long time,” he added.
According to André, they also placed a permanent dustbin across the road so that the taxis drivers and passengers can keep that area clean.
