Man with kidney disease needs your help: Come join a 5km walk
Mohlakeng to host first organ and tissue donation awareness event OR First organ and tissue donation awareness event coming to Mohlakeng
The Greatness of Life Foundation (GOL), a non-profit organisation, will host its first organ and tissue donation awareness 5km walk for a kidney disease sufferer in Mohlakeng on Saturday, 28 March.
“Help us find a kidney donor for Tsheko Ngakane, who has been battling with kidney disease since 2013,” said his wife, Mamolifi Christina Ngakane, who is also the GOL director.
“Come and be part of our family outreach programme as we start the search for a donor through this adventure walk.”
Registration is at 5am at the Mohlakeng Tennis Court where the walk is expected to start at 7am.
Bring a packet of sanitary towels as your registration fee.
Mamolifi said at least 200 people are expected.
“We invite everyone – from schools to churches. We will not only be creating awareness, but discuss the importance of living a healthy lifestyle by exercising and eating right.”
