Three domestic violence incidents during weekend – EPR

General manager of EPR West Rand reveals there were 16 crime incidents during the weekend, three of them gender-based violence related.

EPR Security released its crime report for the period Friday, 19 June to Monday, 22 June.

According to Johan Krogh, general manager of EPR West Rand, a crime report for their client base revealed that there were 16 incidents during this period, including theft, break-ins, armed robberies and domestic violence.

Following the President’s speech last week in which he spoke about gender-based violence (GBV), three domestic-violence incidents were reported this past weekend alone,” he said.

In addition, there was five incidents of theft – one in Westonaria and four in Randfontein – and two business break-ins in both these towns. There was one residential break-in in Randfontein.

Furthermore, there were two incidents of robbery reported in Zuurbekom and Westergloor respectively, as well as one incident of damage to property in Aureus, one incident of intimidation in Bootha Plots, and a civil matter incident in Westergloor.
