Help police trace these men

The suspects are targeting filling stations while pretending to be customers and they then threaten the victims with firearms and rob them.

Police have released images of two men who may be able to assist with investigations into business robberies in the Krugersdorp and Randfontein policing precincts.

According to Captain Raymond Sebonyane, spokesperson for the Krugersdorp Police, three unknown males entered a shop at a filling station on Main Reef Road, Randfontein on Friday, 9 October at approximately 9.30pm.

“The men threatened the shopkeeper with a firearm and robbed her of an undisclosed amount of cash, and took cigarettes and cellphones from the petrol attendants,” said Sebonyane.

He added that on Sunday, 11 October at approximately 8.21pm another business robbery occurred on Cecil Knight Street, Rant-en-Dal in Krugersdorp, where four armed males accosted the shopkeeper in the filling station’s convenience store.

“They threatened him with a firearm and robbed him of an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes, airtime and cellphones.”

According to Sebonyane, the suspects are targeting filling stations while pretending to be customers and they then threaten the victims with firearms and rob them.

He added that the suspects are driving a green Toyota Corolla sedan but the registration numbers are unknown.

“We are appealing to members of the public to assist us with information about the whereabouts of the two men whom we believe will be able to assist in the investigation.”

He advised the public not to approach the suspects as they are armed and perceived to be dangerous.
