Collision in Aureus leaves one dead, five injured including two children

A collision between two bakkies left one man dead and five others injured. Two children were among the injured. The accident happened on Honda Street, Aureus on Wednesday, September 22.
According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene at approximately 11:41 where they found one bakkie on the side of the road while the second one was in the middle of the road.
“Several people were lying scattered around the vehicle on the side of the road. Medics assessed the patients and found that one man was in a critical condition while five others, including two children, had sustained moderate injuries.”
Paramedics treated the patients and provided the critically injured man with advanced life support. Once treated, the patients were transported to nearby hospitals for further care. Unfortunately, the critically injured man succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
