From being tested to getting vaccinated: This week’s plan for Rand West City

The Gauteng Health Department will continue providing pop-up sites for health screening until November 6.

The West Rand District Health Department is once again inviting the community to get free Covid-19 tests done at their sites this week.

The department’s communications officer, Nomagugu Hloma said in addition to the coronavirus tests, HIV, TB and blood pressure tests will be done for free this week from Sunday, October 31 to Saturday, November 6.

The sites are operational from 09:00 to 15:00.

Planned sites for screening and testing:

• Toekomsrus second stop (Ward 8)

• Dick Powel (Ward 6)

• Denny Mushroom (Ward 1)

• Toekomsrus Ext 2 (Ward 20)

• Pick n Pay shopping centre (Ward 24)

• Borwa Taxi Rank (Ward 26)

• Borwa Phase 2 Jama Tents (Ward 26)

• Simunye Ext 5 Mafutha (Ward 27)

• Westonaria Post Office ((Ward 24)

Vaccinations will be done at the following sites:

• Wednesday, November 3 at Toekomsrus 2nd Stop and Borwa Taxi Rank
• Thursday, November 4 at Dick Powel (Ward 6) and Borwa Phase 2
• Friday, November 5 at Simunye Ext 5, Denny Mushroom (Ward 1) and Westonaria Post Office
• Saturday, November 6 at Simunye Ext 5, Toekomsrus Ext 2 and Westonaria Pick n Pay Centre
