Vehicle rolls leaving five injured in Westonaria

Five people were injured on Sunday afternoon when their car rolled in Westonaria.

Five people were injured, some critically, when their vehicle rolled on Libanon Road in Westonaria.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said their paramedics and provincial EMS arrived on scene at about 16:31 on Sunday January 2 and found a light motor vehicle upright on the side of the road.

“One man was seated inside the vehicle while another man and three women were sitting on the sidewalk,” explained Meiring.

He added that paramedics assessed the patients and found that all five had sustained moderate to serious injuries.

The patients were treated and transported to nearby hospitals for further care. The exact details surrounding this incident are unknown but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” stated Meiring.
