New set of Grade 1s at REM all dolled up, dressed to the nines

It was the first day of big school for plenty new faces as Randfontein Primary School welcomed its new set of Grade 1s on January 12.

The new set of Grade 1 learners at Randfontein Primary School (REM) started their journey of big school on Wednesday January 12.

When the Herald visited the school, the girls were all dolled up and the boys dressed to the nines in their uniforms and sat quietly at their desks, waiting for instructions from their respective teachers.

At this particular school, it was as if the learners wanted to get on with their lessons. They will not see school simply as a playground, but rather a place where they can learn.
