Parts of town still without electricity after scheduled load-shedding

'At this stage we can confirm that Eskom is attending to the matter, but we can't confirm when the power will be restored.' – RWCLM

Management of the Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) confirmed that some areas had been without electricity due to technical failure on Friday morning May 6.

The areas are Greenhills, Randgate, Helikon Park, Homelake, Culemborgpark, Eikepark, Wheatlands, Loumarina, Bootha, Wilbotsdal, and Greenhills Extensions 3 and 5.

According to Phillip Montshiwa, spokesperson of the RWCLM, after the planned load-shedding between 06:00 and 08:30 had ended in those areas, electricity couldn’t be restored as expected.

At this stage we can confirm that Eskom is attending to the matter, but we can’t confirm when the power will be restored,” Montshiwa said.
