West Rand District gets new fire truck

West Rand District Municipality (WRDM) has expanded its fleet by acquiring a new fire engine.

Management of the West Rand District Municipality (WRDM) received their long-awaited new fire truck on Friday May 27.

WRDM spokesperson Clement Mohlala said the equipment will help the municipality to improve service delivery and respond to emergencies.

The municipality received conditional grants from the Gauteng Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA) to purchase the fire engine that will be based in Mogale City to improve service delivery as the fire season has started,” Mohlala added.

WRDM believes the equipment will improve service delivery in the District. Photo submitted.
