Mohlakeng unites against GBV at Ext 11 and 14 Street Challenge

A pink balloon release and multi-sport activities brought the West Rand community together to raise awareness against gender-based violence.

The fourth annual Ext 11 and 14 Street Challenge brought Mohlakeng residents together last month for fitness, recreational and cultural activities to raise awareness of gender-based violence (GBV).

Organised by Mokgethi and Mapule Phamudi, the event featured a colour run and walk of 5km, aerobics, cycling, games and dance performances. A prayer and pink balloon release honoured victims of GBV.
