Glenharvie faced with more water interruptions

The municipality has advised Glenharvie residents to store water temporarily due to maintenance work.

Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) currently has its hands full having to deal with various issues of its essential services.

Firstly, there were water disruptions announced in Glenharvie Ext 1, 2, and 3 on December 12 leaving many residents affected.

This is in addition to a substation that is currently out of service due to the recent harsh weather conditions.

The water disruptions are, however, caused by maintenance work currently being carried out in the area.

In a statement issued, RWCLM spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa said they are engaging with the relevant departments.

“The duration is yet to be determined and updates will be provided throughout the project. Residents are advised to store water temporarily and a water tanker will be assigned to each extension to aid in the water supply. We apologise for any inconvenience caused,” Montshiwa said.
