Parts of Rand West City hit by water supply challenges

Rand West City Local Municipality has warned about water challenges in certain areas due to a burst pipe.

Municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa confirmed this, saying areas such as Westonaria Borwa Phase 3, Venterspos, Simunye Ext 4 and some parts of Westonaria are affected.

Montshiwa attributed these challenges to a burst pipe that was reported on December 1.

“At present, reservoir levels are critically low, and the incoming water supply is insufficient. Water services will be restored once the reservoir levels stabilise,” Montshiwa concludes.
