Save the date: Eskom to shut off power
Eskom has scheduled a planned power outage to kick off maintenance work.

The Rand West City Local Municipality has warned residents of a power shutdown at the Randfontein Industries Substation due to planned maintenance.
As confirmed by municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa, the shutdown is scheduled for January 26, from 08:30 to 17:00.

The statement further listed the areas to be affected:
• Robinpark
• Azaadville
• Bonqweni
• Mogale Junction
• Portions of Randfontein (from the corner of Randfontein Road and the R28 to Sixth Street)
• West Porges
• Village Square Mall
• Continental
• Tiger Brands
• Albany Bakery
• Randfontein Elderly Care Centre
• SAPS
• Robinson Hospital
• Lenmed Hospital
• Homelake (from Tenth Street to North Bridge)
• Greenhills (streets adjacent to the Greenhills Stadium)
“Please note that the Greenhills Water Reservoir will be impacted during this period, which may result in low to no water pressure,” the statement read.
Areas that may be affected by the water shortage include Robinpark and Greenhills.
“Residents are advised to store sufficient water.”
