Burst water pipe affecting several areas
The municipality said they are working hard to repair a damaged pipeline, however, there was a setback leaving several areas without water.
Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) provided an update regarding the water supply interruption in Mohlakeng.
After repairing a damaged pipeline on Phokojoe Street, the pipe ruptured at another section.
According to municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa, “This has resulted in the closure of water supply to allow for further repairs.”
The affected areas include:
• Westergloor
• Toekomsrus
• Mohlakeng
• Surrounding areas
Montshiwa added the technical team is currently on-site working hard to restore the water supply.
He concluded by stating further updates on the matter will be supplied when necessary.
