#WestRandWaterAlert: Water supply suspected to be at 100% by today
Rand Water's Zuikerbosch leak repairs project has concluded to allow for the restoration of the water supply.
Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) has announced the completion of Rand Water’s Zuikerbosch leak repairs and as well as the gradual restoration of the water supply.
Rand Water released a statement confirming the success of the leak repairs project. The Eikenhof Pumping Station has been pumping at 90% capacity since 19:00 last night (July 3). Rand Water claims that a 100% pumping rate should be reached by 11:00 today.

“Remember, the system will take time to recover once the rest of the maintenance on the other stations has been completed. Water supply is not restored immediately as the system needs to build capacity,” the statement explained.
Areas in the lowlands will recover first, while highlands can take longer.
Spokesperson for RWCLM Phillip Montshiwa added that the water supply has been pumping at 90% since last night and will be pumping at 100% by today (July 4).
