Municipality announces 8-hour planned power cut in Wheatlands

Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) has confirmed that a planned electricity outage will affect Wheatlands today, July 16.

RWCLM spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa explained the outage will be from 8:00 to 16:00.

The planned power outage is intended to facilitate the installation of arc relays on the main breaker, which supplies electricity to the area.

Montshiwa concluded, “Residents are advised to treat all electrical installations as live at all times and to make the necessary preparations in advance. The municipality apologises for the inconvenience and appreciates your patience and understanding.”
