Planned outage to hit parts of Randfontein again
An eight-hour power outage is set to affect Loumarina and Elandsvlei plots as the municipality confirms essential maintenance work.
Rand West City Local Municipality warns the community of a planned power outage due to maintenance work that will affect Loumarina and Elandsvlei Plots.
According to municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa, the maintenance includes the installation of arc relays on the main breaker, which supplies electricity to the area.
He confirmed the outage will commence from 08:00 until 16:00 on July 22.
“All electrical installations and apparatus must be treated as live at all times. The maintenance is important to improve the safety and reliability of the electrical supply,” he concluded.
