Municipality announces October IDP meeting schedule

Residents are encouraged to attend the upcoming IDP and budget review meetings to voice their concerns and contribute to local planning.

Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) is inviting residents to attend the upcoming Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget Review meetings for the 2026/ 27 financial year.

These meetings allow community members to raise issues affecting their local areas.

According to municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa, the meetings will take place from October 21 to 28, with each relevant ward councillor in attendance at their respective area’s session.

The schedule for the meetings is as follows:

October 21:
• Wards 3, 4, 6, 7 and 9 – Greenhills Stadium, 17:00
• Wards 8, 10 and 20 – Toekomsrus Hall, 17:00
• Ward 5 – IEC Hall, 17:00
• Ward 2 – Finsbury Sports Complex, 17:00

October 22:
• Wards 14, 19 and 22 – AB Phokompe High School, 16:00
• Ward 8 – Westcol Office Park tent, Homelake, 17:00
• Ward 15 – Thuto Lehakwe School tent, 17:00
• Ward 27 – Simunye Multipurpose Hall, 16:00

October 23:
• Ward 12 – Zenzele Sports Grounds, 16:00
• Wards 16 and 21 – Ramosa Hall, 17:00
• Ward 11 – Park-Makhata Street, Ext 3, 16:00
• Ward 30 – Thusanang, 16:00

October 24:
• Wards 32, 33 and 35 – Ghana Park, Bekkersdal, 15:00
• Wards 13 and 18 – Mohlakeng Recreation Hall, 17:00
• Ward 23 – Glenharvie Combined School, 16:00
• Ward 25 – Venterspos Primary School, 17:00

October 25:
• Ward 26 – Westonaria Banquet Hall, 13:00
• Wards 29, 31, 34 and 35 – Bekkersdal Holomisa Ground, 13:00

October 26:
• Ward 1 – Brandvlei (tent), 13:00
• Ward 17 – Zuurbekom Clinic, 13:00

October 28:
• Ward 28 – Simunye Sports Grounds, 16:00
• Ward 3 – Afri Village, 17:00
• Ward 24 – Westonaria Banquet Hall, 16:00
• Ward 11 – Ext 11 Grounds, 16:00
