Two-day water maintenance set to disrupt supply in Rand West

Rand Water’s scheduled maintenance may disrupt supply in parts of Rand West City, and residents are urged to conserve water.

Rand West City Local Municipality has informed residents that Rand Water will carry out maintenance from January 6, which may disrupt the water supply for up to two days.

Municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa said the maintenance will involve replacing essential valves at the Eikenhof System from January 6 at 04:00 to January 8 at 08:00.

Montshiwa explained that the water supply may be affected in the following areas:

• Azaadville Gardens
• Badirile
• Greenhills Reservoir
• Westergloor Reservoir

“Water tankers will assist affected areas. Residents are urged to use water sparingly during this period,” he said.
