Gerrit Maritz Primary the SPCA’s ‘heroes’
'Laerskool Gerrit Maritz Primary goes out of their way to help the SPCA' – Chairman.
The RandWest SPCA recently showed their gratitude towards Laerskool Gerrit Maritz Primary who always supports them and the animals they help.
RandWest SPCA chairperson Brenda Eloff said they handed over two trophies to the school – one for supporter of the year and another for being the coin collection winners.

“They were chosen as supporter of the year because throughout the year they collected food, blankets and toys for our animals.
After both our branches had been broken into they collected over R6 000 for us during a fundraiser, and they raised over R13 000 for us with the coin collection,” said Eloff.
She added that the school’s learners and teachers go out of their way to help the SPCA and that they are really awesome.
