Traffic affected after tractor crashes into bridge

Traffic was affected on Monday morning, July 17 after a tractor crashed into a bridge.

This was on the Main Road shortly after Elandsfontein.

According to information gathered at the scene, the driver of the tractor was travelling to a farm nearby and was coming from the Randfontein direction towards Carletonville when the incident occurred. It is understood that he failed to lower the back end of the tractor to allow for it to pass through the bridge and as a result, he smashed into the bridge, causing the tractor to land on its side.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident and it currently remains unclear as to whether or not the driver was injured.
