Ward 17 councillor passes away

The Rand West City Local Municipality is in mourning after one of its councillors, Sizwe Bhembe, passed away on October 3.

This comes after he was admitted to hospital the previous night.

Bhembe served as a ward councillor for Ward 17 in Zuurbekom since 2021.

The municipality released a statement regarding his death which reads as follows:

“Collectively we keep the family of councillor Bhembe in our prayers. We send our sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. May his departed soul rest in peace.”
