No injuries reported in another collision at infamous intersection

Traffic was affected during an early-morning crash on October 17 – fortunately no serious injuries were reported.

Another collision was witnessed at the intersection situated on the corner of Homestead Avenue and Kenneth Road involving two light motor vehicles.

The minor collision occurred early this morning (October 17) and no serious injuries were reported.

The driver of the white light motor vehicle, who was in front, explained to the Randfontein Herald that he was turning right into Kenneth Road when another vehicle (blue) crashed into the side of his vehicle.

The collision from another angle.

“The traffic light was green and I was about to turn onto Kenneth Road when the collision happened. The woman who crashed into me said that I should have used the right lane. I do not know if she wanted to turn or go straight onto Homestead Avenue. If she was going straight ahead, according to the road rules, drivers should give each other a certain amount of space,” the driver of the white vehicle argued.

The driver of the light motor vehicle in blue was unavailable for comment.

Both drivers left the scene unscathed.

Although traffic was somewhat affected, First Help Towing was on the scene to assist.
