WATCH: Strong winds knock over electricity poles
Recent strong winds caused damage to two wooden poles.
Recent strong winds have damaged two wooden electricity poles in Elandsvlei resulting in an electricity shortage in the vicinity.
The poles damaged are located at the junction of Elizabeth Road and Road Number Three. This is according to municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa who added that the restoration of the electricity will not be feasible in such a short timeframe.
According to Montshiwa, municipal workers are trying to restore the electricity.
Furthermore, the damaged poles have affected Botha AH and Wilbotsdal plots.
Montshiwa apologised on the municipality’s behalf for the inconvenience caused by the damage.
