Senior fur baby needs the community’s support

Another furry friend taken in by No More Tears Animal Rescue Centre requires the public's help.

No More Tears Animal Rescue has rescued yet another furry friend from a rather dire situation.

Stephan Hendricks, founder and director of the rescue centre explained that a resident contacted them on May 17 and informed them the dog had been lying in Mimosa Avenue since the day before. He added the dog was scared and only remained in one place.

When he was found he was covered in ticks, both his ears were cut in half and he had a lump in his neck.

“According to the vet he is around six years old and one can see he has had a tough life.”

He is currently receiving treatment for the ticks as well as the lump in his neck, however, they are still unsure if it’s an abscess. He also needs dental care and has to be sterilised.

“Overall he is doing well, he just needs a good home and lots of love and attention.”

If there is anyone who might want to foster him or give him a forever home, contact Stephan on 084 433 7748. If anyone wants to donate towards this fur baby’s care, they can visit the rescue centre’s website.
