Heatwave to start tomorrow, continuing into Monday

Residents can expect to see the hottest day to reach about 34 °C.

It’s finally starting to feel like spring with the warmer weather approaching, but residents have been warned about the possible first heatwave of the new season.

This (the heatwave) is set to start tomorrow, October 11, until Monday, October 14.

According to Gauteng Weather’s X page (previously known as Twitter), the first possible heatwave of the new season is possible in Gauteng from Friday.

The South African Weather Service also issued a heatwave advisory on their X page which stated that persistently high temperatures are expected.

The temperatures for the weekend are as follows:

• Friday: 12 °C – 32 °C
• Saturday: 17 °C – 34 °C
• Sunday: 17 °C – 32 °C
• Monday: 18 °C – 31 °C

After Monday it seems like the temperatures start dropping again.
