Mother struggles to find help for her son

A resident needs help to locate her son and get him onto a rehabilitation programme.

Petro Muller is struggling to find help for her son who is not only addicted to drugs, but is also missing.

Muller explained her son, Johannes van Rensburg has been missing for four months. Even though he lived on the streets, she received a weekly call from him. But then for four weeks, she received nothing. Fortunately, on November 13, she received the first call from him in months. Now, she fears, he is missing again.

Muller said he informed her he was in the Potchefstroom/ Klerksdorp area and he had to have his leg amputated. He also needed money to come home. She noted, however, due to his addiction they cannot risk sending him money.

She added he did live with her for a while, but things became problematic. Further, she was in the process of adopting a child and could not have any drugs or alcohol around.

However, Muller needs help to get her son into a rehabilitation programme.

“His father and me as well as his sister are all very worried about him,” said Muller.

Any person who would like to reach out, or knows where Johannes is, contact Muller on 069 981 6529.
