Soaked but safe: Dog rescued from pool now needs a family
After rescuing a dog that was found in an abandoned swimming pool, Cast Aways is now asking the dog's owners to step forward.
Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary recently rescued a dog from a swimming pool and are now appealing to the community for any information about the dog’s owners.

According to director Louisa Rossouw, the male dog was spotted by a resident last week. Rossouw further mentioned that the resident attempted to lure the dog in, but the dog ran away.
One of Cast Aways’ staff members recently heard the cries of a dog. After inspecting an abandoned house, the worker noticed a dog in the house’s swimming pool.
“He was found cold, wet, hungry and alone.
Thankfully, we were able to rescue him. He is now safe in foster care, where he will be bathed to see if he needs any medical attention,” Rossouw said.
