Help the furry friends at Cast Aways stay warm

Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary is asking for the community's support for their blanket drive.

Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary is hosting a blanket drive to keep their fur babies warm this winter.

Louisa Rossouw, founder of Cast Aways, stated that with the upcoming winter, the sanctuary wants to be prepared to keep their dogs and cats warm.

“I looked through our blankets for the winter and realised they are very thin and they have been washed so much that they have holes in them.”

Aside from the blankets, they also need toys, cleaning supplies, and dog and cat food. Louisa noted they are aiming to run the drive until May 25.

Donations can be dropped off at Barkz & Bubblez Grooming Salon, Homestead Veterinarian Hospital, Urbanchic, as well as at the sanctuary. They are also willing to collect.

“Please support us, without the public’s support, we cannot do what we do for the animals. Be the voice for the voiceless,” Louisa said.
