Kardia celebrates Ascension Day

Ascension Day was made special after Kardia House International uniquely celebrated the day.

Kardia House International’s learners and staff members recently gathered to celebrate Ascension Day memorably.

On May 29, the ceremony started with a special worship service where the learners and staff gathered in prayer, praise and worship.

“Lyrics of appreciation and faith sounded throughout the hall while everyone focused on the importance of Ascension Day and the belief that Jesus Christ ascended to heaven,” deputy principal Joy Kruger said.

As part of the programme, learners who lost a loved one were invited to write personal letters to those loved ones.

Learners and staff gather outside to release the balloons.

“These letters contained emotional tributes, memories, and messages of love, a symbolic way to express their feelings and find emotional closure,” Joy mentioned.

After the service, learners gathered outside the hall and tied the letters to helium balloons. Joy stated it was a memorable moment when the learners simultaneously let the balloons go into the air.

“As the balloons slowly rose into the air, the entire school sang together and praised God, a moving and symbolic gesture of hope, faith and release. This Ascension Day celebration left a lasting impression on everyone. It was a precious occasion of faith, unity and community spirit,” Joy expressed.
