Greenhills family desperate to find missing dog

The Sphiwe family is appealing for help to reunite with their four-year-old dog, Blackie, who has been missing since August 9.

Blackie, a family dog, has been missing since August 9, and his owners are appealing to the community to help find him.

According to Blackie’s owner, Nkuna Sphiwe, the four-year-old dog escaped the premises in Greenhills at about 19:00. As Sphiwe’s uncle was leaving the house, Blackie ran after him. The owner further explained that it is not unusual for Blackie to run out of the gate; however, he usually comes back. This time, Blackie did not come back, and Sphiwe is growing more concerned by the day.

“Blackie is such an amazing pet, and he has always been friendly. He is such an intelligent dog,” Sphiwe said.

Sphiwe stated Blackie is approachable, depending on how a person approaches him.

“Please, help us find Blackie. His disappearance has left such a big void in our family.”

Blackie might be roaming Greenhills or the surrounding areas. If anyone has seen him or knows his whereabouts, contact the family at 079 639 7088.
