Memorial held for four youngsters killed in R41 crash

Hundreds mourn the loss of four young lives in a tragic R41 collision.

A collision on the R41 in Randfontein on September 7 claimed the lives of four young people. Hundreds of community members gathered at a memorial on September 10 at Revelation Home Ministry in Kagiso to honour those lost.

The victims were from the Xaba, Mtuli, Dlamini and Ntanzi families. The vehicle involved had seven occupants, of whom three survived. Two occupants died at the scene, while two others passed away in the hospital. The survivors are currently recovering.

Puseletso Lisa Mosela, who witnessed the crash, called emergency services and streamed the accident on social media to reach the families of the survivors.

Acting ward councillor Selina Nxumalo, Pastor Godfrey Phiri, and representatives from several political parties attended the memorial to support the families and the community.
