Buksie the Yorkshire terrier still missing
Desperate to find her missing Yorkshire terrier, Buksie, Blanché Christina Posthumus is appealing to the Greenhills community for help.
Buksie, a beloved Yorkshire terrier, has been missing for almost two weeks, and his owner, Blanché Christina Posthumus, is pleading for help from the community to find him.
Buksie disappeared on October 24, between 12:30 and 13:00, in Kanfer Street, Greenhills. According to Blanché, he was wearing a brown leather collar with a tag that reads “danger” and is also microchipped. He has a distinct white eye caused by a previous injury, making him easily recognisable.
Blanché said that despite her continued search at the SPCA and local vets, as well as posting on several online groups, there has been no information about Buksie’s whereabouts.

“Keeping faith has become more difficult by the day, because how can such a small dog just disappear?” she said, adding that the loss has taken an emotional toll on the family.
“We truly miss how he would get so excited when we came home. We just hope that whoever finds him will be kind enough to return him – or at least give him a loving home,” she shared.
She also urged pet owners to take extra care of their animals and to remain hopeful if faced with a similar situation.
Anyone with information about Buksie’s whereabouts can contact Nicolette on 074 460 1504 or Blanché on 083 494 2802.
