Herald journalist says goodbye

Herald journalist reflects on cherished memories and thanks the community as she bids farewell.

• Chanté Bolton writes:

Where to begin? I am truly saddened to be writing this letter to say goodbye to a community that has become such an important part of my life.

As I move on to the next chapter in my life, I reflect on the many experiences I had as your community journalist. It has been an experience I will always cherish.

Every person I encountered added value to my journey, whether through their love of sport, involvement in community activities, or the organisations supporting vulnerable animals in the area.

Thank you for sharing your stories with me. It has been an honour and a pleasure to work with every single one of you, and I hope our paths cross again in the future.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
